SUMMER SHOWS, NEW GUITARISTS, GUITARS

How are you? Good,we hope.
The good news is that we have two new killer guitarists! The sad news is that we have to say goodbye to our two guitarists of the last two years, Jesse and Adria.
First, the goodbyes: Adria is diving head-first into the world of east bay free-improv, and Jesse is super-busy with his awesome Kraut-fetish project, Jonas Reinart. Keep yr eyes and ears open for lots of awesome music coming from these lovely people. Both have been with Citay over the last two years and both have added so much to the band...
While we will certainly miss Adria and Jesse, we must move onward and upward! HELLO to guitar geniuses Josh Pollack and Sean Smith. Rehearsals are underway and they will debut their skills with the band at Cafe Du Nord on July 15. Some info on the new members:
Josh Pollack is the lead guitarist for University of Errors, an all-star band featuring Daevid Allen from the Soft Machine and GONG! Josh has traveled the world with University of Errors. It is an honor to have him in Citay.
Sean Smith is known around the world for his acoustic guitar skills, having released several records of breath-taking Fahey-esque jams and touring with the likes of James Blackshaw. He'll be debuting his electric chops with Citay. It is also an honor to have the stylish and skillful Sean Smith in Citay.
We have a handful of shows over the summer. We'll be back on the east coast in the fall, tour dates TBA. see you soon!!!

CITAY BACK FROM TOUR, GOING ON THE RADIO THIS FRIDAY, THEN PLAYING AT CAFE DU NORD IN SF FRIDAY NIGHT!
Hey everyone - well we got back from our triumphant US tour a few weeks ago and we'll all rested up for more fun this Friday, April 25. Check it out - I (Ezra) will be going on KUSF radio here in San Francisco to play some of my favorite jams and chat with Irwin, aka DJ Sleeves on Hearts. I'll be on from probably 10am til 11am - anyone can check it out at KUSF.ORG or in the bay area tune the fm dial to 90.3...THEN we'll be playing the KUSF benefit show that night at Cafe Du Nord. Killer lineup!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! CHECK OUT THE TOUR DATES AND NEWS!
Hey Everyone
Happy 2008! We're gearing up for a bunch of shows in the coming months, and we may be comin through your town very soon. Stay tuned for tour dates and bills as they come in...Also, a music video is in the works for the song "Eye On The Dollar," off of Little Kingdom. It'll be the first ever Citay video and it's being directed by Karl Krause, who did the Little Kingdom album art, along with his ol pal Evan Wells. It promises to be a radical visual, auditory, and emotional experience.
Also, we're very excited about our shows up in the northwest next weekend (Jan 17-20), posted to the left. In Olympia we'll be sharing the bill with the legendary Calvin Johnson! After those dates we're gonna be doing a bunch of shows in March at this year's SXSW festival, and from there we're touring through the south, up to NYC and the northeast, and across to Chicago and the midwest. 17 dates of glory in all! We hope to see you out there. A bunch of these dates have been posted and more are on the way...

NEW ALBUM, TOUR DATES
Hey Everyone! Welcome to the newly designed Citay website. We are VERY psyched about all the haps of the very near future: The new Citay album "Little Kingdom" will be out and about on November 6 on Dead Oceans, and we'll be doing a handful of California shows in support. Stay tuned for more tour dates as they arrive because we'll most likely get to your town in the next few months! For now this is what we got:
